Delta rerun: APC’s Alapala wins in Burutu North

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Returning Officer, Arnold Adimabua Osugo, on Sunday declared Hon. Ebitonmo Anthony Alapala winner of the rerun election in the Burutu North Constituency in Delta State.
Osugo, in the election result sheet, certified that Alapala of the All Progressives Congress, APC, polled 7,728 votes, while his closest rival, Hon. Asupa Forteta of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, garnered 6,616 votes.
INEC’s Head of Publicity and Enlightenment sent a copy of the election results to our correspondent via WhatsApp.

He said the rerun election for Ethiope-West Constituency is being transmitted to the office in Asaba. He also promised to forward the Ethiope-West result once received.
At the time of this report, there were no issues of violence anywhere in Burutu North as regards the election.
